The Arizona Corporation Commission regulates utilities, securities and pipeline & railroad safety.

The Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC) is one of the most important, but least understood offices in Arizona. Decisions that are made here affect all of our lives — and pocketbooks. The ACC was established by Article 15 of the Arizona Constitution and basically serves as our fourth branch of Government. Five elected officials serve in four-year, staggered terms (two seats in 2022, three seats in 2024, etc.) with a limit on no more than two consecutive terms.

Though there has been more public and media scrutiny of the ACC in recent years, the lack of public awareness and engagement over many years prior, opened the door to deep corruption that included the utilities the ACC is charged with regulating spending millions on the campaigns of those regulators. Commissioner Sandra Kennedy was a driving force in uncovering that corruption from the minute she was re-elected to the ACC in 2018 — and the need for her to continue to be a champion for the people is even stronger today. We also need VOLUNTEERS, whether you have a few hours or more…
